In 1981, with 10 years prior experience in construction, Jim began The Brown Company as a sole proprietorship.
Incorporated Oct. 1985, The Brown Company Remodelers Inc. is now serving a second generation of Central Arkansas residents.

The Brown Company Remodelers Inc. holds a Residential Building Contractors License with the State of Arkansas.

How can a Certified Aging in Place Specialist assist me?
The Certified Aging in Place designation assures that Jim has comprehensive, practical, market-specific information and training relating to home modifications for maturing adults.
Is it difficult to schedule a consultation?
We do our best to be flexible enough to meet your schedule when discussing your home improvement needs. We mail a brochure and written confirmation of the appointment.
Do you provide references?
A list of references is included in your appointment confirmation letter.
Do you use licensed plumbers and electricians?
We use plumbing and electrical subcontractors who are licensed by the State of Arkansas. We maintain an excellent relationship with our subcontractors to ensure quality service for you as our customer.
Do you provide a written estimate to help me understand my project and a contract to protect my right to "get what I pay for"?
All projects quoted receive a detailed, written proposal. A project is not begun without your approval on a contract.
Are you insured?
We have a $2 million liability and completed operations policy. We provide workman's compensation as stipulated by state regulations. We also carry liability and property damage coverage on our vehicles.
Do you have a strong financial base and pay your suppliers promptly?
We have an excellent credit history and maintain our finances so that a customer need not worry about financial default on our part.
Are you bonded?
Yes, The Brown Company Remodelers, Inc., carries a $10,000 contractor's bond.
Do you provide financing?
At this time we do not provide financing.
Will you set up a payment schedule for the project?
Our contracts have reasonable payment schedules based upon completion of various stages of your project.
